Women are careful drivers and don't hoon around. That's the consensus
Spoiler warning:
I see them speeding all the time though. They're especially dangerous in car parks but technically those are council controlled and not policed, both men and women tend to do all sorts of cray cray not allowed on the streets. Failing to give way, ignoring pedestrians, it's quite insane and gets really bad in summer because people just get even more crazy that time of year.
My pet hate with car parks is people reversing into parks, that is having the nose of the car facing towards traffic. If you try parking like this on the side of the road it's illegal in this state (although I believe in NSW you are required to park this way, even their angle parks go in the opposite direction...you reverse in).

Spoiler warning:
It's illegal to use a phone when driving here. Fully licenced drivers can use handsfree but that's it. No texting or anything else.
Yeah people still try to do shit but cops get them straight away they don't let that slide.
I wish they'd crack down on fog lights, which are technically illegal to use in non-foggy conditions but people do it all the time.
Spoiler warning:
man I wish our cops would crack down on this kind of shit more the only time they're cracking down on really anything is when they enforcement zones set up around holidays. it's good they get drunks off the road in this way but it should be an all year round thing not just seasonal.
my biggest pet peve around here is the speeding we have a park and a school that aren't even a block away from this two way intersection(should be a 4 way) but people still fly down the road like is the fucking highway(which is 1/4 1/2 mile away).

Fines are state revenue so cops are encouraged to issue them. We have a demerit points system too for violations.

Speeding:
Excessive speed
Excessive speed is defined as driving 25 kilometres an hour or more above the speed limit, or at 130 kilometres an hour or more (if the speed limit is 110 kilometres per hour).
After conviction, which occurs 28 days from the notice issue date unless you object, your driver licence or permit is suspended and you are prevented from getting another one for the period of the suspension. The length of the suspension is determined by how much you were speeding.
Spoiler warning:
There are also red light cameras sprinkled around the state, and contractors operate speed cameras from unmarked cars of virtually any kind or colour (but they're all new).
