You guys ever listen to The Aquabats? I think they're pretty fun to listen to.

Of course not. I have to stay 300 feet away from all holidays at all times.

Only played the Mega Drive versions, but as much as I loved it at the time, I definitely agree. I think it was kind of a significant series to lots of people (myself included) for offering something a wee bit different to lots of other racing games at the time, and it got a free pass on technical issues that might have killed a more conventional racing game on the strength of some of its new ideas. But there's no way I'd go back to it for any length of time now. Even 3, which was a pretty late Mega Drive game (1995, I think?), suffers from a choppy framerate, ugly scrolling, and not very responsive controls, and I honestly think that even the Mega Drive version of Super Hang-On (which was... what, 1989?) is a lot more fun to play nowadays. Still historically significant, with a lot of interesting ideas that I think fed back into various other unconventional racing games that followed, but personally I think it's one that's more fun to remember now than actually play.

Definitely agree with Cosmic on the soundtracks, though. This is still always what I expect when I hear the opening notes of Rule Brittania.

    Exclamation

    i not winning?!
    doubt it:
1, for some reason, a chucklehead took it upon themselves to dedicate tags to me, even if a cheap joke/banter.
2, more importantly, is that gdi usb board is now in my blue dreamcast.
have sussed a way to pass through usb extender and possible door switch out of one of the rear grill vents, more than adequate width for one to carry a six-core wire through (four usb, two door switch) or at the worst, a two-core and a four-core wire.
the ide is, to extend the usb socket out of the rear of the console, a bit of clearance, and the door switch mounted to the upper-side of the extended usb socket.
if all goes well, a plan should come together.
now to find some six-core (black preferable) and a cable-clamp, the sort on playstation pad that house the cable EM-shield.
    [edit]
not damaging dreamcast housing in any way for this...

I'm beyond bored. Does anyone have a video, audio or writing they want me to edit? It's the only skill set I have.

making progress, though the door switch is on hiatus, can't source any six-core wire.
the idea is still on the table, i have some thin two-core (in black) to match usb cable.
will have to coil it around the usb cable, and finish up at the cable-clamp, will be enough room in there to house the switch.
roughly about six" forward from that cable-clamp, will be the usb socket.
as it stands now, just a usb extension has been threaded through the rear-right most vent in the grill, was tight (she was nice n' tight) but went okay.
checked continuity of the wires to be reconnected, and all is good.
usb socket is white, found to separate part of a usb extension in a bits box, see no reason to butcher a solid mould one now.
