I love it when someone introduces themselves as an artist. And I'm just like okay that's cool and all but what do you REALLY do.

Because several years of dating an artist has shown me that all they do is play shitty videogames terribly and run around with fuck boys.

Occasionally there's a shit job in there. But they work part time at most and are perpetually on the verge of being fired for being lazy and or incompetent.

There's a cure for that. Never stop reading, ever.

    Sounds like work.

No one goes into the fine arts to work.

They do it to disappoint their parents.

One minute you're just some kid who finds a few crayons.

Then before you know it you're hanging out with a rough crowd in art galleries and sipping lattes over discussions of postmodernism.

Before long you're blowing some dude in an alley for a tube of premium oil paint.

    ^^ worried about hideo?
he's a big boy, knows what he's doing.
besides, he had a contract, a shit one, but still legally binding none the less.
if his integrity was A1+ on the market, if kojima wanted to make a point, he could work for others with integrity, lock his ip's from future releases. (assuming konami hasn't fully appropriated them all.)
the publicity was a huge stunt, effective too.
