I have a core2 (e7500) I think it is at 2.93 with 4 gigs of ram and can bareley run fallout 3 with it. Low settings and 720p, it still lags a tad in the wasteland too. Indoors no problem. Mind you I don't have a vid card yet just a really bad Intel g41.

I can run Civ 5, Stick of Truth, Modern Warfare 1, Burnout Paradise, Rayman Origins on fairly low to almost mid settings depending on which game at 1280/720. Not too old but not too current games. Funny enough FFX on pcsx2 runs almost perfectly at native settings.

Picking up a video card should more or less solve your problems. You could also grab an E8600 pretty cheap these days.

Meh the vid card will be enough. I'm not going to sink to much cash into this thing. Got it for free from an office and only had to get the ram and a few extras like mouse/keyboard and a power cord.

I have my eyes on a few low profile 2gb cards for around $70. Both Nvidia and Ati.

Suggesting this because those are the cutoff points on actual performance improvements. Cards like the GTX 740 or R7 250 are crap. GTX 1050 is probably your best bet.

It's a decent card but I can't say I'd recommend it these days over spending a bit more on a newer card that outperforms it.
