^^ my favorite villain (robocop), due to the fact, REALITY!
guns sort problems, and cops are one of them.
plus, there's honour in his character, a brutal honesty that's worth meeting half-way.
    give the man a hand.
i think he was in screames too? (can't be arsed looking atm.)

ya see, i got this problem, cops don't like me, i DON'T like cops.

My parents were always pretty relaxed about stuff like that too despite being fairly protective in other ways. I guess they figured we would probably see the movies sooner or later anyway, and it was better that we watched them as a family. Had seen the first two Alien movies, both Terminators, the first two Robocops, A Nightmare on Elm Street and a bunch of others by the time I was about eight or nine. Pretty sure Nuke in Robocop 2 was actually my introduction to the concept of drugs. :'D

Some ratings that older movies picked up are really, really weird in hindsight. Particularly in the mid eighties / early nineties here in the UK, where 12+ certificates weren't commonplace yet, and movies could really easily fall through the cracks and wind up in the 15+ bracket (the second highest rating here if you don't count R18, which is mostly just for porn) if there was anything at all that disqualified them from being PG. My old VHS of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, of all things, was rated 15+. :'D I mean short of some bad language (and I guess the celebration of concepts like truancy and disrespecting parental authority, if you want to be really fussy), it's about as family-friendly as comedies come. Not sure if it was even ever reclassified, either, so it probably still has that certificate now.

Oh, and Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman from That 70s Show) is the bad guy. What's not to love?
I was really impressed at how intelligent the first Robocop actually is when I rewatched it for the first time in years recently. Remembered it being little more than a stupid, fun action movie. And it totally works like that too. But it's actually really funny and witty besides, and there's so much being satirised there that totally sailed over my head as a kid. Came out of it thinking that it was actually probably one of the best of that whole wave of 70s-80s sci-fi and fantasy.

    Ferris Bueller's Day Off
    great film.
    ...
in it's time, took the edge off, and gave me ides for conflict resolution.
    particularly with wankers cars.
it's true what ferris says also:
stop and take in the view, smell the roses.

I watched the original robocop a few weeks ago at a friends house, it's actually quite terrifying what happens to him. Brilliant film.

Id buy that for a dollar.

    ^^ agreed!
on a technical note, taken aback by the hands-on skills here, and recycling gdi controllers for v1 and v2's is just fuckin futuristic.
not something i could do, but i wouldn't turn down a pair of JVS pre-builds from this guy.
still, the bios chip to gdi-ide/sata is my ultimate goal, the trade is made for the modem/network card/parallel socket functionality.
there's some pre-builds out there of recycled modem cards, not comfortable destroying one myself, don't have the dick for it.
the bios chip is retard-easy to outfit by comparison, and that's a little worrying to me still, so much can go wrong.
it's purpose of the custom bios chip/os rom bank doubler, it's to enforce custom boot locations outside the gdi socket, while keeping the gdi assembly intact for obvious reasons.

would modify one of my vanilla dreamcasts to outfit it too.

Yeah, definitely one of my favourite comedies of the era. Still rewatch from time to time.

I saw a video tape of it for 70p in a charity shop a number of years back, and it was close enough to being a dollar that I like to believe the person pricing items had a sense of humour.

no, no way, that shit doesn't fly.
who the FUCK is fuckin with my shit, adding tags to my hard effort?
you're just asking for me not to bother.
ffs, there's NO records, AGAIN, and you have the temerity to undermine the users reading capacity by adding a prefix '[GD-ROM]' to the subject banner...
as if the writeup doesn't make that clear.
    dicks!
    [edit]
    problem solved.
won't share gdi's here anymore, well done.

Why do you have to be so incredibly picky about everything and everyone here? You sure enjoy being deliberately argumentative and confrontational about trivial things. You cry for EVERY single thing, just relax dude. Or grow up, whatever it's easier for you.
It's the staff who sets what tags are used in the uploads section. No one is asking you to share anything, so yeah, get rid of what you've shared and take your bravados with you.

(Is it cool if I self-promote?)
Remember that Japanese game I was working on? Well, my English version just hit the Google Play store! (Apple users will get it in a little while.)
It's free to play, so if you're interested in a mobile game about having a rich girlfriend here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...asukachi.himo2
