Unhappy Unable to properly download/extract gamecube iso's

I have spent two days attempting to download ssbm for dolphin, to no avail.
    My problems:

    a. The downloaded file comes as a rar, but the only item inside is a disc image file. No folder like I have seen happen with other people on youtube.

    b. When I place said disc image file (which the internet tells me is the same thing as an iso...kindof) into 7zip/winrar, and extract, a new folder is created with the same disc image file! No progress has been made -.-

    c. When I decide to put the disc image file in Dolphin emulator anyways, a screen pops up that says, "the memory card in slot A is corrupted" and will not allow me to interact.

I have used both winrar and 7zip. Please, any help would be fantastic!

All I want is my sweet childhood memories :'(

If you get a file with .iso or .gcm extension that is the disc image. All you need is the disc image.

well, that means I get the disc image right after downloading, without extracting. So that disc image is set to be opened with Dolphin then?

    You stated:
    a. The downloaded file comes as a rar
The image needs to be extracted from the archive.

When I open the rar, the disc image is already there as on file. I didn't extract anything to get there. I was under the impression that I had to extract something from the disc image itself. Sorry, if you can't tell, I'm new to this.

Just simply opening a rar doesn't mean you have extracted the contents. You are just looking at the contents.

No just extract the rar. All you're doing is looking in the container.

You should be able to right click it select the winrar sub menu and choose " extract here"

Then start dolphin and load from there.
