Suikoden/Konami-related whining

Hhm, yeah. So it's 2016, we haven't seen a Suikoden game proper in a freaking decade (meaning we're probably 5-10 years from getting Suikoden Tierkreis II: fucking exploding bobbleheads), and Suikoden VI will probably never see the light of day.

Why is this a problem, then? Because of the fact that it was an awesome series that totally shouldn't have ended? Because it's a tragedy that it sorta did, just because all of the original staff left way ago and because funky RPGs might not be that popular anymore? Sure, whatever, but mostly because we need confirmation that I'm clever. Luca's totally Hugo's father - it's too obvious! Either that or the lizard guy, which just seems improbable. Might be hired rapists from Muse, I guess, but I don't think Lucia would fall for that. Ipso facto, your mum is an idiot.

Do note that my original "you heard it here first"-post seems to have been lost in a rollback.

Also do note that I'm fucking tired and just a little bit drunk.

Castlevania, to my annoyance is dead. Silent Hill I didn't care about but is dead. Zone of the Enders was never given enough of a chance. MGS is a zombie. The list goes on and on.

Have they stopped making those cool 2D-Castlevania games where Alucard's some sort of corporate gimp and whantot? I thought they were pretty damn cool. Hopefully we'll get a pachinko sequel sooner or later.

At this point I totally wouldn't mind Suikoden VI just consisting of Yam Koo talking about fish and teaching the main character how to cheat at chinchirorin, as long as we get confirmation on the Hugo thing. Loose threads are annoying.

Edit: I wonder when we'll see Contra V on pachinko.
Edit 2: Yay, apparently exists several already, almost as good as an official main series instalment.

We can only hope that Konami (and Capcom) dies so they can sell off their IPs to companies who have enough business sense to make something out of them.

As long as they are not locked solely to Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft hardware, but yeah they need to die off and give the IPs to people who are not incompetent idiotic slavedrivers.
