PSX emulation cheater

I cant get the psx emulation cheater to work with the psx emulator , also if this is not a viable option anymore how do you get cheats on the psx emulator?

Talking about ePSXe 2.X by any chance

If so it no longer support the classic PEC engine, though there is a hacked version of the PEC dll at PSXdatacenter or you can just use the built in cheats engine under under Options>Cheat Code after the game has been booted EPSXE CHEATS PACK NUMBERS-Z v.4.0 can also be found at PSXdatacenter

Use the dropdown to select your Graphics plugin

This is what makes PCSX even better. Although PCSX doesn't seem to work right on Windows 10.

I recommend using psxfin, though I would just use Zorlon's idea on getting the hacked PEC dll and sticking it into the ePSXe root folder. It saves you time.

have u tried with older versions of epsxe?
i know for sure that 1.9.0 works fine because i am using it. i didnt bothered to go to newer version they dont offer anything new for me

@Bryan K you have put gpupec.dll in wrong folder, that needs to be in plugins and not in root.Delete the file from root and add it in plugins.

Do you actually have any Graphics plugins in the plugin folder

You can get some from http://www.pbernert.com/html/gpu.htm

The reason you will not be able to select any will be because you don't have any to select asides from built in GPU plugins but those will not show in PEC

I believe ill try downloading an earlier version of psx will keep posted if i can get it to work .

i am still having no luck it still asks me for a gpu i have the latest one installed in the same folder as the cheat code program and i still am getting the same thing to happen and im running it with psx 1.9 . I dont think ive ever found something soo frustrating

ok let me go step by step and maybe youll figure out what i did wrong so i installed psx 1.9 i put the cheats in the input folder of the psx 1.9 i started the cheat emulator selected the cheats for the game i wanted to use the cheats , initiated the cheat emulator and started the game , it then asks me for a gpu i scroll the list and nothing appears . So what did i do wrong?



i got it working finally , now if i can only find an english version of ff8 the one i dled seems to just turn my screen black and thats it.

Maybe you have the wrong bios or maybe ff8 has copy protection idk.

(E) = Europe that has copy protection though yeah it is in english
(U) = USA that is English and has no copy protection

PS I hope you are using ePSXe 1.9.0 and not pSX or PSX fin as it is also known

as for the plugin issue you still did not store the plugin in the plugins folder
