No this is not me leaving, lol, I just reset my settings in my control panel and it come up with all the old threads, all the old ones I posted at and stuff, weird feeling seeing those things, the people around at the time and the things I posted on, anyways... the first thread listed is this one...

I read it and almost freaked thought maybe this just happened added to what already happened or something, didn't realize it was an old thread at first. Was about to reply to it till it hit me... wait, this happened before really, so I checked the date and yep, it was old, lol. Didn't want to bring up the old thread cause it was posted by masJ and didn't want to scare anyone else, lol.

Was the last thread made before the backup was created so if the IDSA closed it down the boards could be brought back up. Interesting

Yep - I still remember. That was the reason the forums were backed up: we knew we were going to shut down by IDSA. Apparently there has been no incentive to back them up since then, so they haven't been backed up.

yeah, was posted on sept.24th.
was within 2 months of me registering. I had just over 100 posts then (yeah I havn't gained that many since, lol, low daily post rate).
Funny how times flies, been almost a year now. All the people who are gone and all the new members since then. Seems not to be as many *ahem* annoyances and things happening now though. Which is good, lol. Overall this board has done well. Longest I been on any board.

Man, I was appalled by the news! And I only had a few days of membership! That's how cool the site was! (IS? )

We are not so easily defeated... we have weathered attacks from the IDSA and most recently a server cancellation from our host. During the IDSA incident I was confident that we would find a way around them, but after last week's incident I was unsure myself if the site would be back. I mean, we were left vanquished without a backup of the site. But we persevere and so the site sustains.
