    Default Project 64 - ROM won't load?

    Hey,
I recently got PJ64 V1.6 to play Conker's Bad Fur Day. I loaded up the ROM and played a bit for no problem, but I decided that I would try the N64Glide Graphics adapter, as it has better performance. I made a save state and then installed and configured the adapter. When I started the emulation, there was simply a black screen and no audio indicating the logo video. I tried loading the save state to success, but when I selected quit in the options menu instead of returning me to the main menu, I was given a black screen with no audio. I tried reverting to the previous graphics adapter also to no avail. I have tried restarting my computer and the emulator multiple times.

    My specs are:
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    I7-4790k processor
AMD R9-390 GPU (manufactured by Strix)
    8GB of RAM
Game is installed on a 2TB HDD (my OS is installed on a 250GB SSD)

Thank you for any input given,
    -Mipplash

Its most likely the fact you used a save state from one video plugin on another plugin and in turn you get a black screen.

Real Saves are ideal in these situations as save states are unreliable and should be used on games you know that will cause no issues.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Don't use a savestate as the emulator will save the settings as well which will mess things up if you switch plugins etc if you try continuing from it.

    Start off fresh.
