Default Having problems with Star Wars Arcade (1993) in MAME. (Supposedly it is now playable)

    Hi guys!
As some of you may know, Sega's 1993 Star Wars Arcade was recently made playable in MAME. Thrilled as I was, I went to the official mame page and got version 0.173 for x86.
After trying the very rom in this page, as well as other pages with no success, I learned that you need a redumped, newer rom in order to get it to work. After some excruciating search, I found a rom supposedly prepared for 0.172 in .7z format. The compressed file seemed to have allthe necessary roms files, but, no matter what I do, I can't get it to work. I have tried almost everything I can think of, but the emulator always tells me that I'm missing files.
Does any of you have a swa star wars arcade rom that works with the latest versions of MAME? And if so, would it be too selfish of me to ask of you to share it?
    Thanks in advance!

Never mind, I was able to solve it! Thanks to the help of the person that was working in the changes to make this game playable, I learned that I was missing the file "epr-15112.17", related to the network functions of some model 1 machines, like Virtua Racing. Once I got my hands on the file and put it in the roms folder, both Star Wars and Virtua Racing worked.
Unfortunatelly, most of the chages havent been implemented into the latest versions of MAME just yet, but at least now your ship doesn't implode when starting a game.
For those of you interested, aside fom epr-15112.17, you need a rom with the following files:
    epr-16467.5
    epr-16468.14
    epr-16469.15
    epr-16470.bin
    epr-16471.bin
    mpr16477.bin
    mpr-16472.39
    mpr-16473.40
    mpr-16474.41
    mpr-16475.42
    mpr-16476.26
    mpr-16478.28
    mpr-16479.29
    mpr-16480.30
    mpr-16481.31
    mpr-16484.bin
    mpr-16485.bin
    mpr-16486.bin
    mpr-16487.bin
    mpr-16514.bin
    mpr-16515.bin

hope this can be of use to whowever is trying to play this awesome arcade gem!

    That isn't particularly helpful.

I found the file by doing a search on Google for model 1 cpp and there was a huge text document at a MAME DEV page.

I copied all of the text to a notepad document and changed the name of the notepad document from blah.text to epr-15112.17. That allowed the game to start.

Unfortunately, the emulation for this game hasn't really improved since 0.148.
