Default Help with MACH 3 Mame Rom

I was trying to get mach 3 to work on my xarcade Mame cabinet, I downloaded the Mame Rom (.164) from here as well as the CHD file. I have .167 Mame on my system. At the suggestion in another forum I put the CHD file into the Mach 3 ROM folder with the rest of the files, the Rom being zipped it compressed the CHD file when I put it in. When I try to run the game it just goes black. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I'm sure it's quite easy to the moreexperienced gamers but I'm new to the whole Mame Rom world and would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!
This is my dxdiag if it helps
