Exclamation The stylus that almost broke my 2DS

Allow me to share a rather strange story that had occurred to me in the past two days.

First sometime ago I purchased New 3DS stylus's for my sister but I made a mistake buying them for the New 3DS and not the 3DS.

Sometime later I lost my own 2DS stylus and replaced it with N3DS stylus I bought. These dont fit properly mind you.

So yesterday I left my 2DS on the couch for a minute and my cat runs up and knocks it down which ends up jamming the stylus in the slot.

I try really hard to pull it out but it wouldnt even budge so I resorted to hot water for help.

The water worked but it ended up getting in the system and caused the Black Screen of Death.

After trying all solutions online and of course drying it I still could not do anything.

I soon found out its the Wifi Card causing the BoD.

Today I remembered the Wireless feature could be turned off so I did and it worked!

It looked like the end of the consoles internet features but then I used Recovery Mode to get Internet back up and running.

Im here posting this on my luckily still working 2DS and couldnt be more happy.

So if you get the BoD try removing the battery and if that don't work try Recovery Mode before resorting to fixing the Wifi Card.

I just felt like sharing this story cuzz why not. Chao

When I think incredibly expensive hardware I think of submerging it in liquids as it says "not" to in the owners manuals, it always helps going against directions.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Yes I know it was a bad idea I should have known better but at least it works still.

I'd trade in that water damaged system while it's working, personally.
