    Default SNES help

Hi everyone my name is Denise I'm new to the site and in need of guidance.

I have downloaded a few different emulators. When I open the game everything seems ok but I never get the start buttons. The game is mario all stars.

I'm using a GTRON classic fc snes usb controller.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated as I'm sure it's a human error on my part.

    Thanks so much
    Denise

Howdy there, have you* tested the buttons in Devices and Printers to see if they register when they are pressed?

What emulator are you trying to use?

    Edit: typo.

THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

    Hi Warrior
I checked in devices and it tests working properly.
As far as emulator I've tried Snes9x and ZSNES.
It doesn't change from this start screen.

    Do this for me please,

    Start Menu>
    Devices and Printers>
    Right click on your controller>
    game controller settings>
    Properties

now check and see if every button lights up when pressed , please post your results.

When you set the controls in the emulators does the button register?

If so there should be zero issues.

Give that ZSNES build a try.

Here is the latest SNES9x build off of SNES9x

    Edit: This works too: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xbrz/files/Snes9x/

Also if you ever want a all in one solution give retroarch a try when you will comfortable, pretty fun.
