Default Anything Similar to Dark Souls?

My title pretty much sums this thread up. Does anyone know of any games for any system not counting ps3, ps4, or any xbox console, and also for PC, that would give me a similar experience to the dark souls games? Do not own newer consoles so bloodborne is out

    Demon's Souls
    But it's PS3 only.

I'd almost kill to play demon's souls. But sadly, I haven't bought a console in quite some time. That's why I asked the way I did, primarily interested in pc games but if anything is available on the gamecube, wii, ps1, or ps2 i'd be ecstatic.

Dragon's Dogma maybe? Not as hard as Dark Souls but has a western rpg feel, boss battles and NG+.
Dark Arisen version of the above, specifically.

Honestly I don't know of any games that are the same as the Souls series There are western type rpgs that are enjoyable though.
Shadow of Mordor is good and fairly recent.

Lords of the Fallen is not a Souls game but it tries... and it's on PC.

Is that any good? I've seen it recently for a reasonable price but thought it might be total rubbish.

I haven't started it yet, I've gotten mixed opinions on it but still decided to buy and give it a try eventually.

Haven't read or heard anything about it, only looked at it and for some reason it made me think of that Vikings game that was last gen. Dunno why.

Never got it so dunno if it's Sega

Something old that I still need to get is the first Risen game for 360, I'm still not sure if it was ever released here.

The Souls games are spiritual successors to From Software’s own King’s Field and Shadow Tower games. Definitely try them if you haven’t already. They’re on PS1/PS2 and are played from a first person perspective but they share the same gothic atmosphere, difficulty level and many gameplay mechanics in common with the Souls series. Shadow Tower Abyss and the original King’s Field 1 were only released in Japan but there are translation patches available if you want to play them. Also be aware this affects the numbering of the KF games in other regions à la Final Fantasy.

I don't think this is what you are looking for exactly but on GOG they have The Witcher 1 and 2 on sale for the fantastic price of $4.50 total.

29 hours left on that steal.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition is a good game.

TES games might be worth looking at. Lots of mods out there for them...Morrowind is old but with mods it looks much better, and it can be a little challenging initially before you build up your character stats. It isn't restricted to first person, you can switch to 3rd and back. Whatever you prefer.

Skyrim has dragons so you basically get randomly generated mini-boss battles, just ramp up the difficulty if you prefer it that way.

These games are western style and are quite large.

former mod maker and tester for skyrim actually. over 3k hours clocked in that game unfortunately games like Skyrim are why I'm trying to find more games like the Souls series. The combat system in Souls games have got me literally spoiled, and I can't stand the way combat feels in games like bethesda's TES series because melee in particular feels like two kids getting into a slap fight. Combat just feels sloppy to me on those sort of games now.

I'll take a look at some of the games mentioned here. I have Dragon's dogma DA and it looks like a game I can sink a lot of time into... just haven't started playing it yet. My fiance is absolutely bonkers over that one though.

btw, am I the only one that's tried playing witcher 1 a few times but find it hard to get into the game?

Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen is nice
I liked playing the souls games but never could dedicate myself to them enough for or all achievements. If you take away the difficulty of them they are rather limited games compared to others, but my opinion is based on preferring solo games.
The last one I played was Demon's Souls, played all the way through and got most trophies but then got bored after having to go through again to clean up
