Default MK II on Snes issue

I've been trying to get reptile to go invisible...is this possible? Hold block + UP, DOWN, DOWN, then HP. i have tried while holding block the whole way, releasing block before HP...nothing works.

I've also tried in mame as well and i cannot get this to work, as i'm using a homemade arcade cab control panel. i use xpadder, and i even exited out of the game and just did the moves while xpadder is up and i can see that the combo looks good.

is this a bug or am i doing something wrong, like the timing is off(although i tried different timings)

-also i just downloaded the game and emulator on my pc using my keyboard and its still not working.

Looking on Gamefaqs, some of the move lists say Bl,U,D,D,HP. Others say Bl,U,U,D,HP. Try the second combo and see if it works.
