How do you get Dance Dance Revolution to run?

My MAME version is 0.163b for Windows 64-bit. I have DDR the first version (GN845 VER. AAA to be specific) and DDR Extreme. I just can't seem to get any of them to play. DDR1 says it is overall working and DDr Extreme says it is NOT working. I got the required parent files, yet I keep getting the same message that one or more required ROMs/CHD are missing. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or how you got it working?

Do you have the CHD's required as well as the roms both parent and for the exact version of the game

I have the ddra.zip rom along with 845aaa02.chd, the dance stage rom and chd. I also have the sys573 bios.

what path do you have the chd stored in and what mame port are you using?

I have the chd stored in my roms folder. I'm not sure what you mean by port.

In general the chd needs to be in a sub folder of the roms folder, the sub folder for that chd needs to be named ddra

something like...

roms\ddra\845aaa02.chd
roms\ddra.zip
roms\dstage.zip
roms\sys573.zip

well depending on the port of mame used depends on the folder it is stored in I use MAMEUI (32 and 64 bit versions) but other ports have a separate chd folder
