rogue galaxy ps2 hints? :P

im about to start playing rogue galaxy on the pcsx2, i heard on its release it did bad but is credited with being one of those poorly commercialized titles that actually had alot of thought put into it. the wiki says the creator was aiming for a game bigger then any rpg made at the time so im hyped for it!

that being said if its as good as i hope, i REALLY dont want to miss a secret character or , some really good item that is missable. or lose a fight in a critical game moment that would change the story line. any tips or hints?
