Default Metal Gear Solid Disc 2 Problem!

Hey guys I use ePSXe 1.9.0 on Android. I figured out how to load Disc 2, but it's broken and everytime I call someone on Codec it freezes??? Also I can't save state properly, and the data that is saved has no data on it at all. It just says 0kb. Someone help me! I don't want to install another emulator or another version of the game because I've reached it all the way here and I'm afraid I'll lose all of my data.

Alright so I found a way how to get proceed on Blast Furnace (the place I'm stuck in) but when I fell down in the lava and died it also froze. That's one problem.

Emulators later than SNES tend to have a lot of problems with save states. I don't use ePSXe on my phone so I can't be sure but that sounds like a likely cause for this issue.

Otherwise, try checking if the disc image is a good copy. Zorlon or Google should be able to help you figure that bit out.

Don't rely on save states at all, regardless of what platform you are using for emulation.

    Spoiler warning:

Is this a message that shows the disc does not work?

You need to be doing this from a memory card save not a save state

Change the disc images (should be an option to do this while mid game, can't say I would use an andriod device to emulate PSX myself) when prompted and bring up the radio or whatever it is called and save (to the memory card)

If all else fails do the last part of CD1 on a PC (using the memcard image from the android port) up to the changing discs to CD2 then save at the first opportunity (again memcard saves only) then transfer the memcard image back to your android device and boot up CD2 directly and enjoy the rest of the game with your android device

If the screen stays like that it means you are stuck loading. Either the phone can't handle the game or it may be a bad copy.

open the cue in notepad/any text editor to see if the cue matches the bin.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Well I really hate sounding like a parrot but.............try a better emulator?

PCSX ReARMed in Retroarch is the better choice for phone honestly.

Have you ever checked a disc images hash before?

Try Hashcalc or something and tell me the CRC32 for the bins for discs 1 and 2.

    Also what region/release are they?

Just use the basic software plugin (PEOpS Soft) to avoid any issues and use ePSXe 9.0 instead of 9.25 that seems to of introduced some bugs

I presume that you are using the same iso images to play this on PC that you used on your Android

Also if you like upload your memcard

P.S. you still neglected to mention the release of the game you are playing and the region
