Default ISO, BIN, CUE? - I am confused

    Hi,

I am new to EMU and installed Yabause today on my MAC to try out some Saturn Games.
Under the url http://www.emuparadise.me/Sega_Satur...rting-With-D/3 it clearly states "download Saturn ISO's"

However when you go ahead you find only CUE and BIN files in the download...these also seem not to work with emulator...

Very confusing..anyone can point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

ISO is both a generalization of disc images and also a actual disc image format, .iso.

    There are various formats,

    .iso
    .bin
    .img
    .mdf
    .raw
    etc.

those are just the data of the disc, they normally can't be read on their own except .iso.

the descriptor files are what make them understandable to other programs in burner apps like imgburn or virtual drives like deamontools or cdemu.

    .cue
    .ccd
    .mds
    .toc
    etc.

Regarding Yabause, its not very user friendly with vanilla Yabause, I use it through Retroarch for a easier time but Yabause is still in SEVERE need of work and advancement.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

To be clear you want to open the descriptor files that would be the cue file not the bin file for Bin+Cue CD images

Plenty get confused by the term iso thinking it's the *.iso format that as above is just a generalised term for a disc image
