Most of the PSX ecm files I come across are .img. The program I use on a Mac to unecm the file doesn't do .img, so I use .iso instead. Will this conversion make a difference? I'm under the impression that .iso and .img are pretty much interchangeable, but I'm wondering if there is a slight enough difference between them to cause issues.
I'm playing on a Rapsberry Pi 2 running RetroPie and PCSX-Rearmed. So far the games seem to work in the .iso format (a few needed the .ccd file to run). I'm just thinking even though it seems like they run okay, maybe something is off that I don't notice because I changed the file from .img to .iso, like music not playing when it should be.
