Might this be a hint that he will be invisible while browsing the forums?

I just have a problem with the fact that new members are totally ignoring the RULE posting. I'm almost considering not posting here, and just acting as Moderators do on other forums. Just giving out warnings and such. The boards have been better recently, but there are still those who ignore the rules and act out of line. I'm kinda getting tired of it, and tired of explaining myself to people around here.

So ban tha accounts. That should send a message, even through the average 12 inch skull. The consequences? They don't get the name they want! Oh no

That is actually the problem. If I ban the person, then they can just come back and start in again. For instance, Protoman58 is back under a new name. Banning the username only yeilds temporary results. They can come back and act like an ass all over again.

If they're on dialup their IP changes with every connection to the Internet. And people can get those things that cover up IPs in the first place. I can't remember what they're called, though.

I think your talking about a firewall.

EDIT: All broadband (DSL/Cable) users have a firewall at the center of LAN, and those users can further tighten security with their own firewall on their CPU, imagine that. But, whats a firewall for if you can still ban the IP address? Firewalls are for blocking people out of your CPU but your IP is still floating around the web, enabling an IP Ban to still effect you. Right?

    You're James20.

If the person was being bad enough, I heard some mods talking about an ISP ban. Like banning AOL from Ethopia or the some other place where the person is from.

I won't deny it but I won't admit it either
Most MODs already know since I PMed them
But the members just seem to still be wondering
    EDIT: What

I remember my teacher telling me about something on the 'net that will allow you to go through something and use their IP instead of yours. It was something like "Webcoverup.com" or something... I dunno. I just remember hearing about it, I've never seen it.

username and IP banning are both useless. person can always register under other name and do all the shit again. and regarding IP, even if he has permanent 24/7 connection, he can always contact ISP and tell that someone has an pinch on him, and ask ISP to change his IP...but when it comes to me, i wont ban complete ISP, or IP, or username, or country. but i promise, it'll be hard to get here again after my ban

Lots of rules recently...good because none of the EmuP
forums should go bad. The limit is kinda tough though,
    like if unintentionally spamming.
