    It converts anything perfectly and is free. It even supports formats that a lot of shareware convertors don't and does video as well as audio. I've been using this for all of my conversions for some time now.

    where the converted files will be placed, anywho going from one lossy format to another isn't very smart.

    well it depends, ipods wont unless you load a custom loader onto it... but there are a few that support it... shit i had a link to a really good one but i can't find it.

    Well, then it seems like a pretty sensible descision to convert it to something you can actually use. Such as an MP3.

    thats not what i'm talking about, converting from a lossy format like m4a to mp3 (another lossy format) isn't a good idea in terms of sound quality.
