My laptop has VGA but I'll get better one eventually and new ones usually don't have VGA so I want a device that I could use then too.
BTW that device looks cool. I really like the ability to...
CRT monitors are just not big enough and playing on them doesn't give me that nostalgic experience I'm looking for.
We'll see what converter for Super Nt Mini will have. I hope it will work for me. Maybe they don't make converters with RGB SCART output because CRTs in USA don't have that input, but my TV doesn't...
Is there a device I could use to connect my PC (laptop to be more precise) to my old Sony Trinitron CRT TV so I can play retro games with emulators and also for other purposes. I'm not interested in...
So resolution should be little better in PAL 50 versions if developers took advantage of that but how can I know if my PAL TV can produce refresh rate of 60 Hz or only 50 Hz? Is there any tool I can...
I'm even more confused now. Does moded PAL PS2 output 60Hz when playing NTSC games or it only runs them in 60 fps and outputs only 50 Hz? That is my guess. In that case is it better to use PAL games?...
Yeah I got some PAL only games. I'll stick with NTSC for everything except PAL exclusives. Thanks!
Although I'm bit confused with later comments. I have to read them more carefully. Reading those...
I have PAL Sony TV bought around 2000 and both PAL and NTSC games seem to work fine on it. I use SCART cable though I'm not sure is it any better than composite for image quality but I plan to get...
I know NTSC ISOs run at 60 fps so I use them with emulators to play on my LCD TV but when I want more authentic experience I play on my old CRT with real hardware.
So my question is:
Should I burn...
If emulators could use flac or ape for audio tracks that would solve this problem so I could use PBP for data track and flac or ape for audio tracks and cue file to run.
I don't see why is this so...
Why can't PSX2PSP compress audio tracks more? It almost does no compression at all. I understand that PSPs maybe can't handle that but they also can't handle compression level 9 and it's still there....
I'll try ISObuster. Thanks!
For some games when I want to have more versions of soundtrack I can just create additional cue files.
Example: I want to play US version of Sonic CD sometimes with US soundtrack and sometimes with...
I never figured this out. Programs I used for disc image files until now are daemon tools ultra, ultra iso and img burn.
I love RetroArch because it's one place for all emulators I need and it's very customizable yet simple. I can access it's menu without ever touching anything but controller and I can resume every...
Since they use names from database this would be very useful for MAME ROMs since their filename name must be unchanged but as far as I know there's now way of adding them to library except manually...
You have the point and you are right. Thank you!
Well can I make RetroArch to use filenames instead (like history playlist)? That would be perfect actually.
Or if there's some other program I can...
Yes I know I can edit RetroArch playlist and that's best solution for now but I wouldn't mind learning how to edit those properties in hex editor.
There are a lot of tutorials on how to edit in game...
No problem. Check when you have time, no hurry.
I was trying to find with no luck.
Thank you for your response!
I believe this tool is for editing NES sound files only (NFS) but I want to edit NES files (and FDS also).
Is there something for that?
I wouldn't call call it a problem per se but I would like to see some tutorial on how to edit ROM properties such as name, description region and other in hex editor since I don't think there's...
On my retroarch playlists some rom names are messy especially for rom hacks leaving author name in the rom name or sometimes names are totally changed so I don't reconize what game it is until I open...
I was able to accomplish this with some manual editing of each core's cfg file.
Here is post I found that helped: https://forums.libretro.com/t/per-core-hotkeys/8784
Nevermind. I figured it out: https://forums.libretro.com/t/how-to-save-aspect-ratio-per-core/5743
Now if only I could have different hotkeys for different cores.
