The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
If you like the Coen Brothers, you'll definitely find at least one segment in there that you'll enjoy.
While I agree, that's not a difficult title to claim given the competition in the category.
They're definitely just following current market trends, arguably I'd say that they're biggest failing is that they don't really take any risks, but I'm not so sure since the narrative of most comic...
I'm on the fence on most of the DC movies, like they're not great, but they're all at least watchable. Their primary problem is pacing/tonality and that they're competing with Marvel.
The next...
Recently saw A Quiet Place, I liked it!
It has a couple of horror movie "dumb-decisions-because-we-need-to-move-the-plot-forward" moments, but I thought was fairly effective at building tension.
...
The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Pretty enjoyable, had the typical Wes Anderson borderline OCD flair that I've come to recognize. The characters were fun and lively, I recommend it.
So watched Wolf of Wall Street last night.
Go watch it, it's amazing.
Just don't watch it with your mom.
I guess I should also of mentioned the gratuitous violence.
And yeah, the succubus one was awesome, it's a shame that that was the first one, because it was pretty hard to follow that...
V/H/S.
Stumbled upon it while combing Netflix, it's a found footage anthology horror flick. Pretty much what you'd expect from a found footage movie, shaky, grainy camera work, dumb people making...
Watched The World's End last night. It had it's moments, if you're a fan of Simon Pegg I'd recommend it.
Saw Elysium last night. It was alright I suppose, not a huge Matt Damon fan, and the plot was kind of weak. But the SFX were pretty solid.
If they don't sparkle, I'll have none of it.
You know, someone just enlightened me to something. You know at the end, where child Clark is playing in the yard with the dog? WHO WAS HE PRETENDING TO BE? After all, he was the first super hero....
/Days later...
So I watched Man of Steel last night, I actually thought it was rather enjoyable. I felt that the action sequences were rather well constructed, though the camera felt like it was...
I believe you now.
I AM NOT WORTHY.
The Place Beyond the Pines.
It was actually pretty effin good. Not what I was expecting at all.
Saw World War Z last night because I'm apparently one of those assholes who has to see every zombie movie or whatever. It was alright, but nothing spectacular.
It fell for a lot of the standard...
Welp, guess I have to see it now, I wasn't completely sold at first, but now you've piqued my interest.
Saw the Star Trek: Into Darkness the other night.
I'm usually pretty wary of remake/reboots, but I thought it was enjoyable for what it was.
Mama.
Children are terrible.
