Full specs, just got my CPU. I have yet to push it. :D
CPU: AMD Opteron 165 @ 2.7Ghz stock voltage cooled by Thermaltake Big Typhoon
MOBO: MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum
RAM: 2Gb OCZ Gold GX XTC DDR500...
Interesting rig. Except for the PSU
*looks at vivi*
Also it's mushkin not muskin, just thought I'd point that out.
Get a mobo with nForce 4 Ultra instead of nF4 SLI, 1 7800GTX 512mb and 2Gb 533mhz ram with a small CL.
Around 175-200 more $.
4000+ is the biggest Athlon64 atm.
If you don't wanna spend a shitload more, get a 3700+. This one also has 1mb of cache and that will make a difference.
Well do you want fast or not? The X2 are soooo not "gamer" stuff.
Go with the FX-57 then. 2.8ghz methinks.
Edit: Ohyeah, 1k the cpu btw.
It is. =) But the X2 are a waste atm.
If I didn't care much about my pennies, i'd spend it on that:
ASUS EN7800GTX 2DHTV 512M GeForce 7800GTX PCI-E 512MB DDR3 2DVI VIVO 2ND VGA
965 CAD :O~~
And he uses the default winxp theme? Lame. :P
Nice rig.
Btw a 4000+ is about 379 US, just checked newegg.
Around 400 CAD i'd say, can't bother to check on supplier website. :P
Mine was like less than 700 CAD, so like 600 US. =) I might get an AMD 4000+ because of the 1mb cache, and i'm getting my X1600XT 256Mb sometime soon. The 6800GS was a bit better, but too expensive...
Yep, AMD64 biotch! :P
7000, that's insanely too much for such a computer.
Nice setting, but in french there is a proverb that could be translated as:
"It's not clothing which makes the monk."
Stab stab.
