is it anything like that piece of crap that was 8? I really like my functionality of 7 I really don't like the idea of any data collection from any corporate entity I also don't like forced updates...

I'd be more open to switching to 10 if all the privacy concerns are dealt with. as it is I just don't trust it that and I don't want M$ garbageware.

I think the biggest expense will be a decent monitor or the cpu. not sure what monitors are running nowadays.

oddly not many places will let you junk old pc's tv's ect without paying to "recycle them"

I used to have 2 of those old huge beige cases they both had intel pentium cpus I remember laughing at...

is there any benefit for heat dispersion?

don't have any laying around anymore and not many people just give them away around here. people around are always trying to make a buck anyway they can.

was going to ask about that. I'd have to go for a mid because of space. which is better plastic or metal cases?

so earlier I decided to take a quick look at cases, holy crap there's a lot to choose from the last time I built a pc there wasn't even that many to choose from but that was back in 07 or 08.
