you can use openloader and run a lot of games via network. works pretty good fmv stutter some though.

I read that ps2 games only work by installing them to the internal hdd and ps1 can run off external.

never played the first but the second was quite good I got really far into it when I owned it. I remember getting stuck at this one boss in the dark world I think it was after I got the screw attack.
