I don't have an old laptop around, they take up more space anyway and still it would consume more power.
But an old pc is still guaranteed to consume more power than a pi.
But If I want to make a low power seedbox and mess with nerfed linux for a fractio nof the cost of buying a mini pc the Pi is my best option, no?
As I can't program I don't plan on writing...
Why, what's wrong with the RPI? It most likely has the most software written for it.
I've been wanting to buy a Raspberry pi for the longest time but never bother to, now this comes out.
Thermaltake being good quality was exactly the reason I bought that brand in the first instance.
I also plan on re-using the CD/DVD RW drive because I never ever use it.
That's what I planning on doing anyway, the consensus from people I asked is the same.
So I have a four year old 750w Thermaltake PSU that I have used in my computer for the past few years, using nowhere near the theoretical limit of the PSU, I'm considering building a new computer but...
Lol, video named "Powerless air cooler".
Breaking some thermodynamic laws are we?
For the money I have it's a pretty good case and it comes with a 500w Psu.
I found my next pc case
For the moment I'll use integrated graphics as terrible as they are.
As I said not a lot of money to spend.
I'm thinking of building a gamin pc only I don't have a lot to spend at the moment, how much would it cost to buy a brilliant motherboard, Processor, Hard drive and Ram atm?
the Auxillary temp sensor in speed fan is measuring 43 degrees celcius, WTF?
:ignore:
If I get this I might take my 300gb IDE drive and buy a 400 or 500gb SATA drive, hell yeah.
I have a hard drive enclosure making my 300gb hard drive external, bad idea I end up putting it on rathering than having it permanently installed.
I have a 13 year old windows 3.1 laptop that has a whopping 128mb of Hd space, It still works brilliantly just nobody wants to use it.
[offtopic]High school? I thought you were british
As long as on your mac you keep an Xp partition, there is still hope for you.
Are they useful though, no.
