Read it wrong, though it said "only two slots could be reached"
I've yet to see a laptop with more than two ram slots...
You don't need to take the keyboard off to install more laptop ram. in fact, that wouldn't even work, the ram slots are on the bottom. Just open whichever compartment is underneath
I guess I could do that. I'd rather have it as one image for future needs, though. :sigh:
i don't have them DLed yet, but they're just disc images. I want to put them all on one image so i can just mount that and install at once, without switching images.
they don't.
Okay, I need to convert three CD images into one DVD image. Don't need to burn, just to mount.
PROTIP: Don't try to install Alcohol 120% version 1.9.3150 (or 3015, one of the two) on Vista. They don't play well together. Massive BSODs, can't even reboot in safe mode. Had to go "Last Known Good...

WHOA. Those things cost 10 bucks from newegg. fucking printer cables, that's how the printer companies make their money. cables and cartridges.
I'm a little leery about paying that much for one, the one in this one literally burned out, so I need to figure out what caused that before I stick $30 worth of parts back in. If it wasn't the old...
Micro ATX, and it's got a weird shape inside the case.
If I can find a new PSU for an HP Pavilion 751n, I'm turning this old computer I have lying around into a fileserver box. Got 4 old IDE hard drives in there.
You'd be bottlenecking the hell out of it. You'd only get ddr2 800 speed. It would work though, I guess.
Upgrade your mobo later. You're only as fast as your slowest part.
Reader Rabbit, Oregon Trail, etc etc
Someone should make 5.25 floppies into CD pouches. The floppies themselves, not the sleeves.
Finally back on Vista after my short-lived XPeriment.
