You could try using the string class in the STL. I haven't tested this yet but it should work.

Winamp 5 can. The free version can do it, but it's quite slow. It takes about a minute to convert a song. There's probably a lot of better options.

I think this is what you wanted... I'm not sure though. All it does is write links to every file/directory within a directory?
