Problem with burned PS1 games

I had a problem with burning game copies with my laptop (they didn't load at all) and then I attached portable drive to try and burn them with that.
So, I downloaded ''Crash Bandicoot (E) (EDC) [SCES-00344]'' and minimum speed for burning on my portable drive is 10x and the game loads but I can't play it because everytime on one of the loading screens game freezes and won't continue to play.

When I open my PS1 while it's still on, the CD is still spinning but the game is frozen.
I've got some game copies from before on traxdata cd's (MK Trilogy, Tekken 3, Metal Slug...) and they are also sometimes stuck but I'm able to play them with a simple restart of the console.

I used ImgBurn to burn the game.
I used maxell cd-r.

Can someone explain what may be the problem here?

You can try upping the speed

Lowest speed is a general rule but some drives do not burn well at the lowest speed

The lowest speed guide does not apply to all drives just most

Try using the lowest disc speed of the disc (CD-R's normally have a small list of speeds or are marked up with the fastest speed)

To be honest though sounds like junk media (P.S. brand has nothing at all to do with the quality but more to do where the media was made)

Almost every brand has good and bad media

I used verbatim cd-r now, my portable drive and burned the game at 24x.
Now it doesn't freeze anymore at loading map :D
