MAME UI frontend with controller??

So I wondered if I can config MameUI in a way that I can use the D Pad of my 360 controller to browse through my games...

I can scroll through them with the left stick, the problem with that is that it seems there is literally no deadzone in place, so even the slightest move on the left stick results in frantic scrolling through my library...

I couldn't find a way to change the deadzone on the frontend... ingame it works like it should...

so I'm looking for a way to either have a deadzone or just use my d-Pad for navigation... is there any way to achieve that without the use of Joy 2 Key programs? (I'm using the same controller for normal gaming and always resetting the keys would get annoying fast!)

before someone asks... yes I tried other frontends but all of them either had issues or I couldn't get them to work... MALA for example didn't show all games despite me removing all "not working" and "only master" filters etc.
