nullDC Failure to Detect Rom

NullDC seemed to work fine with Sonic Adventure, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, and Soul Caliber. I downloaded a Gauntlet Legend ROM and turned on nullDC, waiting for the game to start. Instead of starting the game, it decided the ROM was an audio disk and went to the music tab. I went back to the main menu and tried to start the game manually and it came up with the error "Please insert a game disk." Anyone have an idea as to how to fix this? I've seen this error floating around elsewhere and I'm almost wondering if this is a glitch/failure specific to nullDC.

System Specs:
CPU: Inspiron N5040, Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU, M390 @ 2.67 GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz.
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit
Emulator: nullDC 1.0.4
Plugins: None (as far as I'm aware. Not sure if vmsbrowser.exe qualifies. *noob*)
Alternate ROM Attempt: Yes. I've downloaded three different type, one of which wouldn't even load. The other two came up with the same result.
Alternate Emulator Attempt: No. Chankast doesn't work with my computer and I don't have access to any other emulators.

I am guessing you have KALISTO's release possibly converted to cdi but not converted to Mil-CD

The game works fine without messing with the settings and should run normally for you

P.S. what revision of NullDC are you using???

I'm on NullDC 1.0.4 r141 and already tested this game, the only dump that did not work was KALISTO's 0rar's because it was in Bin+Cue format and was not a multi session disc image that Dreamcast games need to be in to boot up both in emulation and on a real console

You have not said what version of NullDC you use 1.0.4 is not enough as there are several revisions of 1.0.4, the last one being r141 the last officially built binary was r136

Another words there are 141 different releases of NullDC 1.0.4

i did state what version of NullDC i used but i cant refer to it because u deleted the topic as opposed to merging it lol. Anyhow i said i tested it on 2 versions. 1.04 revision 149 and 1.04 revision 136 i found version 149 here http://www.emucr.com/2013/02/nulldc-svn-r149.html so i dont know if its fake or what? but it seems to work for all other games.

Thanks guys ^-^ But Zorlon, could you please find me a link to a better image? Try as I might, I'm still quite a noob at this whole emulation thing.... I'm pretty decent at getting good ROMs for SSF, but Chankast didn't work for me which left me clueless for the whole Dreamcast front and my brain has since decided, "Why bother?"

Chankast isn't worth touching DEmul on the other hand is a good alt to NullDC

http://code.google.com/p/nulldc/source/list ;) it looks real they are still making source code but they stopped releasing the binaries the last one is r149 Feb 11, 2013

I don't allways keep up with this stuff, impossible for me alone to do that and do everything else I do :P
