What was the worst game ever? I don't think i have a favorite game. I can't think of any right now.
Worst game....I'd have to say Mario Party 4 or 5, can't remember #). Mario Party is played out now, 1 was very good, 2 was ok, 3-x (current number, 6 or 7 i think)(1 and 2 were for n64, 3...i think gc, not sure, might've been 64. and 4-x on gc. Ne1 agree?
As for what I consider the worst game every? Hmmn. That's a hard one. Well, one of the worst games I've ever played was Back to the Future II and III for the NES. The game had horrible gameplay, and featured graphics that would blink so terribly that they'd cause seasures in epileptics. They were crappy already, to be sure. But the blinking made things unbearable!
I don't have a "worst game ever" as I tend to avoid shitty games as much as possible. I suppose Dragon Lair for the NES was pretty bad...
Daikatana, honestly. It can't get much worse than the first release of that, the jolly game wouldn't even install half the time.
Worst game I've ever tried...probably one of the following.
Outpost: A good idea, sure, but a lot of features were missing...you only get one region of the planet to settle in, and when those mines are played out, you're doomed to a slow and painful death, terraforming does not end the game in victory, nor does it allow you to so much as open the windows without still asphyxiating, and the conflicts, diplomatic or otherwise, between you and a rebel colony do not exist...the ability for military intervention does not exist...it was best described by another person I know as "the best third of a game I ever bought."
LED Wars: Not so much because of gameplay, but because I can't understand German...small wonder it was a gift from one of my uncles.
SimEarth: Uh...not really a game as much as it is a simulation of a planet. I suppose that was what Maxis was trying for, and they succeeded, but it wasn't really fun. The most fun (And only, for that matter) thing I ever did with it was turn every planet in there into either a cooked cinder or a glacial snowball by messing with the settings.
Oh, I forgot! The Sims! I loathe those games!
I dunno why, since everyone else seems to love them, but I cannot for the life of me play through any more than 5 minutes.
! I forgot about the sims....k, i have to say that is the worst, ppl seem to like it, but i don't. I guess, every game has fans, and every game has anti-fans.
Action52 - 52 crap sub Atari 2600 games for the Nes for the bargaintastic sum of only $200
Dark Castle for the Megadrive was also nightmare inducing.
mario fun with letters or one of those early years mario games they sucked

Now see, I respect the fact that you guys don't like the Sims, but since when does not liking something make it the worst thing ever made? I don't like the Sims myself, but I can respect the quality of the games, and I can even understand why some people would like them.Quote:

I think the focus of this thread is more on what games are just complete and utter piles of dog-crap then it is about decent games that didn't draw you in. I wanna hear more about games such as Mortal Kombat Advance, which scored a 0 in EGM when it was reviewed.
And Polski, this is the kind of thing I was on about in the other thread man. The fact that you've pegged the XBox as being the worst system on the market, merely because you personally don't like it.
I can respect the fact that the XBox isn't for you, but that certainly doesn't make it a terrible system. THAT'S what I'm trying to get you to understand.
And despite what you claim man, you ARE biased. You may have chosen the PS2 because it has the most games you'd enjoy, but you've let that turn you against the XBox. The XBox is a good system with it's fair share of great games, and where the XBox may not be for you, there's a good chance that it may have something for some people that the PS2 and GC just can't provide. So please, just stop calling the XBox a bad system just because you personally don't feel it's worth owning.....
Sorry for the small text. I just wanted to seperate it from the rest of the post. :P
Some chip n' dales game i had played.i think it was for snes.also dr.mario.
Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers. There were two. Made by Capcom, and released for the NES.
nope, can't be.atleast the one i played can't.never played any nes games.could be a local version made for the pc too, because the one i played was definately not a capcom game.
How could anyone hate Dr. Mario? o_OQuote:

I think the absolute worst game I ever played was ActRaiser for SNES. They tried to make it a Golden Axe clone and they failed utterly.
If Actraiser failed as a Golden Axe clone, it did so because it wasn't trying to be one at all. See, Actraiser is a side-scrolling hack-and-slash with a bit of god-sim flair thrown in for good measure, whereas Golden Axe is more akin to a Medievil Final Fight. :)
taste i guess:P.this thread's going to all about personal taste,so i won't be suprised if many more people come up with popular games in their list.Quote:

Hum... it seemed more of an attempt at a Golden Axe to me. ^^;;;Quote:

ok those are all bad games , but i hate something even more Mario is Missing after one minute of playing , i just turned it off and assumed mario was dead
Then you're simply lost if you can't see the design differences between the two games Skyla. ;)Quote:

By far, Action 52 for NES
Bah, I hate when people say The Sims is bad. The Sims is a great game! HANDS DOWN!
Worst game? Attack of the Saucerman, PSX.
Haha, Attack of the Saucerman is really a top notch :D
well...
absolutely WORST game ever..that is a hard one, if it was just games you didn't like then it would be easy enough.
Then I would nominate The Sims and Counterstrike at once, but seeing as it's the worst game ever made..
I just tend to keep away from awful games.
but if they are even valid options I would say those piss poor hentai games for snes (they can't even be called games really..)
hentai sucks anyway, gives normal good anime a bad name.
but as for other REAL games *thinks*
bah...I can't really think of anything right now, I'll peek around a little and then we'll see :P
The worst game I've ever played by a long, long way was an old D&D game for the Atari ST called 'Hillsfar'. The reason being that it had no point. Basically you create your character in the usual D&D type way, then you go wandering around this big city called Hillsfar. The various things you can do involve robbing houses (which rewards you with gold and healing potions), fighting in the arena (which rewards you with gold) and buying healing potions (which will increase your prowess in the arena. The flaw in this is that...well, you get gold, which allows you to buy more healing potions, which makes you better in the arena, which gives you more gold, which you use to buy more healing potions, which... Yeah, you get the point, it's a game with no point whatsoever, I'm not dumbing it down, it really was just that bad :P
Boogerman. For obvious reasons.
Haha :D I remember that, I thought it was a hideous game at the time, and that was at a time when I'd play almost anything so... :PQuote:

Oh man, how could I forgot the crappy games Counter-Strike and Enter the Matrix!?
well neither doesn't go for "worst-game-ever-made"Quote:

and Enter the Matrix wasn't THAT bad....
although I did like the hacking part about the game more than the game itself :P
I loved that part, there should be entire games devoted to just that part :D^_^
I think worst game ever is Bubble Ghost. i think no one has ever even heard of it but it is so..... horrible....
another world on the megadrive/genesis... ULTRA shit!
Most overated game then :rolleyes:Quote:

xenogears!!
no but seriously.. the absolute worst game ever created was Die Hard Trilogy on the psx.. the sequel had absolutely nothing to do with the movies and was still better.. but DHT barely related in the first place.. how it garnered a sequel is mind boggling.. i would advise all of you to pick up this title and TRY to tell me otherwise..
I beileve that the worst game i ever played was the lost vikings for the snes. That game was tricky and just flat out sucked! :dead:
Dragon Lair for the NES, only cos I couldn't get past the first dragon thing :D
The Sims is the god of games :P I liked to put them in a room then make them set off a firework, they died
I agree, they don't even speak englishQuote:

However, what I think about when I see this thread is games that are not good on any level, such as the aformention MK Advance.
I think about games that no gamer worth his salt would play after the first time, having found out how terrible they are.
I'm thinking about games that are just such utter peices of filth that it's actually painful to even attempt to play them for more then a minute.
What I'm not thinking about is well put together games that just don't do it for me personaly, y'know? For instance, I can appriciate ICO's depth and playability, but I just never got into it. It's not a terrible game by any means, but I wasn't really interested in it.
Hell yeah, the sims! worst game ever... and you can buy hundreds of dollars/pounds worth or shitty expansions. I believe that to need that many expansions a game must be pretty flawed to begin with and that expansions should be dirt cheap or free downloads from the developers.
Also its pretty much Big Brother in a game, with a little more taste. But I despise that kinda thing. I hope they dont screw around with sims2 when its released.
EA is a company Norgus, and companies are in the business of making money. And while it may baffle you, the Sims is an insanely popular game, and thus EA is going to milk it for all it's worth, releasing expansion after expansion until people stop buying them. It's simply business economics. If you find a succesfull product, you follow through with it and take it as far as you can go. The expansion are built on that principle, rather then to fix any flaws that might exist in the game.
And hey, I don't really think that the worst game ever would go on to be the highest selling PC game of all time. I think somewhere down the line someone would've realised it wasn't a good game, and the sales would've dropped off eventually...
