Can someone help? This is driving me mad. I've spent hours scouring the internet. I've downloaded every rom I could find for this title or the alternate title Fantasy Star Soldier. It's my white whale at this point, given how much I've invested in trying to get it to work. It's not a setup issue on my part, I think, as I have a ton of other PC Engine and PC Engine CD roms that work just fine. Can anyone help?
What are you using to run this game and what CD bios are you using
Sorry, I should have made that clear. I'm trying to run off of retropie 4.2. Not sure what bios specifically, but it's the syscard3.pce file.
However, I'm very excited to say that after HOURS and HOURS I finally found a romset that works. In fact, I found a web address that seems to have all the PCE noms and they all work on my setup. I'm not sure what the rules are for posting a link to someone else's site, so I won't, but I'm SUPER stoked to say that I'm playing Super Parodier now. I can't tell you how much effort I sunk into finding a rom that worked.

the chances are there was nothing wrong with the CD dump but Retropie uses certain formats that are not always commonly used so the older image possibly just needed converting
strictly speaking this should of been posted in Everything Console under other systems so we would know you are not using a PC to emulate but another system.
