psxfin 1.13 stopped working

Yesterday I was attempting to install an old DS 3 on a win 10 laptop. I could not get it to working and had this problem a few years ago with a win 7 lap. So I dl'd motionjoy and installed it only to have windows defender announce there was a Trojan that accompnyied. So I deleted motionjoy and went back to my previous controller. When I stated psxfin all I got was a flat black screen without the normal pregame information with card saves.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Never mind I deleted the .ini file and everything works.
