I can really agree that the pacing of AC3 was a turn off. You spend most of the game talking about doing things, then do things nearly unrelated to get the simple location of the guy. Time skips left and right.

I mean, it picks up a tiny bit, but some of the missions just feel horribly irrelevant. I feel like the idea is great, but the execution just didn't feel the same as a true Assassin's Creed game. They lost theirselves in the middle of making it or something. Although, it does feel like they spent a loot of time on the none-animus plot.
I think my biggest issue was how huge the game world was..... and not that that's a problem because AC4 is fuckhuge, but AC3 had all that wilderness and it was just boring as all hell. I remember running amongst the trees and shit just to get to a town and I was bored the whole damn time.
