Hmmm, I think there are wayyy too many to choose just one, but I'd have to say either the Fire Emblem, Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy, and Pokemon series are my favorites. Of each my first games were Path of Radiance, Tales of Symphonia, Final Fantasy 9 but the stupid PS2 I'd bought from my friend was broken so I couldn't save and only ever made it to just where that one guy turns to stone, so the first one I've ever cleared had to be XIII. And of course Pokemon Red was my first of that series but my favorite had to be Silver! :)
