I would've been sad to see Sony gobble Bungie up 15 years ago but they're pretty much dead now. Guess we'll find out if Sony will keep them around like EA with Bioware.

so I got bored and decided to try a pc game I haven't thought about in years, Streets of sim city it's a garbage half-assed attempt at a twisted metal styled game.
I'm also sick of safe disc drm bullshit there's several old games I'd like to play but can't because of that crap and I really don't want to try and disable it on my desktop just to play those games either.
NoCD?
Edit:
You might also check for patches that remove the protections if you can install the games.
I finally got sick of my monitor's power light and stuck something over it. It's still visible but much reduced from normal.
one of the games I tried the other day had a no cd patch the game would load fine but it would get stuck on an infinite loading screen and M$ would give me an error code(I think it was 267 could no render process or start or create process I can't remember exactly)
apparently there was a newer re-release of that game that's drm free but I couldn't seen to find it the only one I could find are an english version and russian one both without version ids.
from what I've seen not many games have drm removal patches just no cd patches(unless it's a gog release) the odd thing is I had a game(monopoly junior) running fine the other day when I installed it but then when I tried to run it yesterday it kept telling me to put the cd in the drive(even though the disc was mounted)
and I didn't find a no cd patch for it so I deleted it(I really only wanted to check it ot since I only played the physical version of junior like once)
Hmmm, think I might have found the elusive FFX NES hack (FF2 hacked with FF10 content, created by Japanese fans over 15 years ago).
I've got like 4x nes roms (they might all be betas idk) and a windows version
Grabbed some info and around a dozen screenshots, plus a couple of gifs.
There's an Elden Ring demake for Game Boy but it isn't a complete game (maybe 2 areas?).
The craziest thing I've seen (for real hardware anyway) is Myst Atari 2600... just proof of concept and tbh it looks horrible :lol
There's a version of No Man's Sky made for Pico-8 called Low Mem Sky.

Demo of Elden Ring for SNES. I'd play this. EDIT: Oh, looks like it is playable. I'll have to look into this.
There are some more of those recreation demake videos around but they don't always have a game that can be played.
Some others like Bloodborne PSX are playable, but only on windows (that isn't an actual PS1 game unfortunately).
The vids are just an exercise in retro art from what I can tell.
The windows based demakes are a nice idea, but honestly I prefer demakes for actual old hardware myself. Even if they're unfinished or buggy.
