Seems like they're almost copying Marvel in some ways. Aliens through portals and getting a team together. Fallout from heroes and people crying for regulation.
Until Superman signs the Sokovia accords, make mine Marvel :top:

They're definitely just following current market trends, arguably I'd say that they're biggest failing is that they don't really take any risks, but I'm not so sure since the narrative of most comic books tend to be rather linear and familiar to begin with.
I'd watch that.
Funny thing about that, I haven't watched a live action superhero movie since the Ang Lee Hulk.
I just got around to watching Thor: Ragnarok. It was awesome! Best character by far was Korg.
Mean Creek. One of my new favorite movies. "New" being case sensitive here, since the movie is 14 years old.
I recently watched Dinner with the Alchemist. A schizo must have written it, because the characters and plot were the most inconsistent and indecipherable I've ever seen, and not in a good (eg David Lynch) way, an annoying, accidentally disjointed way.
Watched:
Justice League 2017. As expected, it was hot garbage. Why would the entire Earth get sad enough to attract a space monster, because a hated space monster that killed at least tens of thousands (remember why Batman wanted to kill Superman?) died. That's the fucking plot of the movie.
The Shape of Water. Somewhat disappointing considering the critical acclaim. Crimson Peak was a better romantic horror IMO.
Black Panther.
Avengers Infinity War.
It was everything.
Justice League.
Jumanji - Welcome to the Jungle. Not a bad movie. Still it can't top the original Jumanji.
Black Water (2018)
Death Wish (2018)
