romancing saga 2 steam...ridiculously high system requirements

just wondering...does this port of the mobile version of the game (can't be arsed to port the actual snes game, square?) REALLY require 4GB ram to run? and if so...why? cause...you could easily emulate the snes version using under 50MB of RAM using snes9x.

all i know is i'm not buying it cause those system requirements stink of BS to me...like those of that bad port of the mobile version of chrono trigger which in turn was a port of the DS version which was a port of the PSX version WHICH was a port of the SNES version... seriously, squarenix, wth? why do you keep trying to reinvent the wheel? (like with that FFVII remake which i certainly HOPE turns out good but...given the general state of the video game industry these days those hopes remain quite low)
