Problem saving MegaDrive game. Please Help!

I have the sega mega drive emu on my computer. I'm trying to understand how to save game data when I have to shut the emu down. How do I save a game for sega cd with mega drive?

Actually, not to be a jerk, I set up a RAM cart file. If anyone didn't now that before, I hope this helps. the application set-up is located in the main "File" header. Click on create RAM cart, name your file and save. When you want to play older Sega CD games, ISO or CD ROM, load the RAM cart to save.
