Use the offline installer.
I hate Jdownloader - may it burn in hell. I've been using IDM short for Internet Download Manager and have been happy with it so far :nod:

well i decided to use that "malicious" webinstaller to install jd2 and it works fine now. ran a security scan and nothing was picked up (super antispyware plus) and i have malwarebytesw always runing. so i have everything fine for now

I don't think I've heard complaints about JD2's installer. Which might explain the issue with them, they might've intentionally borked the installer to get everybody to move to JD2. Which would be world class stupid....
What do you mean by wouldn't run? I just updated mine the other day and I've noticed a few hosts that I'm sure worked before the update are tossing me plugin out of date errors now :| It's still working though, and it's just a handful of hosts.Quote:
