I like to relax and read a good book when I can. Typically I read Mystery books, Lord of the Rings,Stephen King, Biographies, books about historic events etc.
I know this is a forum to mainly discuss games, but I thought I would pose this question.

I read all kinds of books I just start reading and off I go losing sense of time and such hahahah... its really a bad habit. As for favorites it would be Fantasy books and horror :3
definitely manga, but I've been reading the 1001 Must Read Books Before You Die .rar file I found. I'm currently on the George Orwell and Anthony Burgess collections.
Meh. I don't read much. But when I do, I read The Hunger Games. Stay hungry my friends.
See what I did there? :awesome:
But yeah, I'm on book 2 of The Hunger Games.
Other than that, not a big reader of books. Manga, I can handle.
Stephen King is one of my favorites and then some fantasy and I just started reading manga for High school of the Dead.
You'll really think I'm a weirdo now (maybe I am)... but I read books about my country's laws (Especially in the area which I work... I like to learn more to work better), bout psychology (Which is really fascinating to me... though I actually did read only a book by Freud and one about the history of psychology... anyway, I love that section on the library, have so much fun there:cool:), bout music (I like to learn some), about photography (I read a small book and I tried some expert things but I had no time to finish... and I gave the "expert" book to a friend of mine and he take some REAL nice pictures today... I love taking pictures and I wish I could process my pics... but... I barely know how to take a good one, who would think about processing, that is way harder and much more money is needed :P
For last, I love reading about videogames and stuff and new technology... I don't really read many other things than these ones.
That was it, :D
I don't always read books, but when I do I chose Jim Butcher.
I like Orwell's books too. Even though they are disturbing. Which Stephen King books scared you the most? The Stand scared me. I think it was just how it ended,I read the unabridged version and wow.
Anyway, I loved to read Harry Potter series. Anyone else?
I like reading random books. I read the second Harry Potter book, for instance. My sister can't stand that I only read the second one and have no interest in reading the rest.
Manga.
manga, stephen king, and harry potter, jules vern, h.r. haggard, and tons of other random stuff.
I just read Rin-ne. it's a manga written by the woman who created Inuyasha and Ramna 1/2. It's funny.

GK?
For Stephen King, I like the Dark Tower series, but its definitely an investment in time...the 1st one can stand alone though
Neil Gaiman is another great fantasy author, borders on horror, used to write graphic novels.
I recommend American Gods, just dont pick up Stardust
Besides that, mythologies and historical biographies and such
I love the Dark tower series. It was irritating waiting for the next one though. I liked how the first one ended, it really made me think.
I am a big R.A. Salvatore fan and I like Michael Prescott. I usually read something related to fantasy or science fiction for example I've read Hunger Games, Ready Player One, Battle Royale (you guys have to read this one, hunger games copied it and it is so much better-Japanese author) in the middle of the I am Number Four series (3rd book isnt out yet) but I also like some realistic fiction like Lord of the Flies, Acceleration, Catcher in the Rye
I read many novels, mostly thriller and detectives novel.
I like the books written by Steven Brust and Carol Burg.
I like to read books in a series and with nice covers. Currently on hiatus from the Left Behind Series.
dark tower series....takes me back.
wonderful, powerful, inspirational, and also so upsetting
its hard to sum up all of them, but
the first one is prob the best, and can stand alone.
I think I liked reading Barmy Jeffers and the Quasimodo Walk.
And Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix...
Animorphs :o
I like to read standalone novels.
Usually Mystery.
I like being confused
My favorites are 18th & 19th century Gothic Horror and Mysteries by Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes.
For me, it's Terry Pratchett, all the way. To be honest, manga aside, the only physically-printed-in-a-book reading I've done in over a year has been the works of Sir Terry.
I think it's the English approach to humor* that I love so much. That, and his chosen genre** to satire (when not actually codifying new and exciting tropes for the genre).
*You can also see this in the comedy of Stephen Fry, Monty Python, and Yahtzee Croshaw.
**High fantasy, for those who don't know.
I personally liked the 2001 series by Arthur C. Clarke. Also I just read I, robot by Isaac Asimov.
Fantasy/Sci-Fi books, if I want drama and realistic I would go outside :P
Fantasy/Sci-fi thriller, anything by Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Patterson, and Katherine Applegate.
I like to read books with a thick plot and a complex storyline. It makes them interesting and worthwhile to read. It's kind of like Kingdom Hearts or the Legend of Zelda Timeline in written format.
