Sorry to bother people again lol but i have a ps2 iso request.sort of (PS2 emulation)

I dont't know if this is the right place to post this so if its the wrong place i'm sorry ^_^ ........ok so, I REALLY want to play Dynasty warriors 2 and Soul Calibur 2 for the ps2 but i dont know how to configure the ps2 emulator, does anyone know where i can get the lastest ps2 emulator with bios and pluggins ect.? and tell me how its supposed to be configured and junk? I've looked every where and its all just really confusing lol I REALLY want to play them on my laptop but if i cant then can i burn the isos to blank DVDs and play them on my old slim ps2? if thats the case how do i do that do i need to do something special to make sure it works? I have an unmodded ps2 will it save properly on my ps2? thank you again for people helping me lol i'm a little slow when it comes to this stuff sometimes lol

well like i downloaded the Dynasty Warriors 2 files and they came up as winrar but not the archiver...like rar is the extension....i dont know how to explain it like do i need to change the file extension, i heard that works sometimes....if it does what do i change it to, iso or something else? i'm sorry lol....this is all just really confusing X3

If the file extension is .rar, .rXX, or .partXX.rar, you need to extract the disc image.

i found an isos that work but now the ps2 emulator crashes after i boot it up like it gets to the "Playstation 2" logo that pops up before every game but after that it freezes, do i need to configure something differently?

Which game are you trying to run? PCSX2 version? specs? plugins??

Are all settings in default? have you configure your BIOS, and plugins?

When you run the game, are there any errors on the Console window(program log)?

and which game was it?

it says "csr. rest" alot and "Gif Unit - GS packet size exceeded VU memory size!" and i dont know how to take a screen shot of it

Have you tried running the game with CDVD(fast)?

yea, it wont even boot up its just a black screen. and this is word for word what i see

Run the game you're trying to play, upon the black screen, close the emulator.
Then go to PCSX2/Logs folder, and attach the emulog.txt here.

How did you run it? through ISO or Plugin?

i told you dynasty warriors 2! lol.... and what emulog.txt? if there was a link there its not there anymore...and i run it through ISO,...thank you by the way i know this is frustrating X3

Oops.. yeah, didn't saw that, my bad. ^^;;;

Attach the emulog.txt here, just click Go Advanced, then use Manage Attachment.

On the Quick Reply, there should be a Go Advanced button next to the Post Quick Reply button, click it.

Then, after you go advanced, scroll to the bottom, and you should see a Manage Attachment button.

Follow these steps,
- Go to Config -> Plugin/BIOS Selector
- Change the CDVD plugin to Linuz ISO, apply, then go to Configure
- On the new window, press the Select ISO button, then choose your Dynasty Warrior 2 image file
- After that, press OK and OK again
- Under the CDVD menu, switch to Plugin
- Then go to System, and choose CDVD(fast)

If that still doesn't working,
- shorten your game name, e.g dynasty warrior 2
- or convert the .mdf file to .iso, and load the game with CDVD -> Iso

and you might want to try the official build(full installer) as well.

What about other games?

i tried both ways and neither worked :( ....is there something wrong with my laptop maybe? and as far as other games i havent tried any

Um, have your really try each of the method I posted? converting, use another builds, etc?

Kinda weird though, since the official build should give you some changes, at least.

Yes, and you should try another games as well.
Perhaps convert the game to .iso if you haven't.

WOOT! the third methode worked! thank you! ^_^ i did have one more question though, is there anyway to make the emulator run faster?

On the Config->Video ->Plugin Settings, change the Renderer to D3D10(Hardware) mode, and make sure to check Native.

Then, enable the Speedhacks function(Config -> Emulation), and set the EE Cyclerate to 1 or 2.
