Just for pure nostalgia reasons. I remember it being the first PS1 game I ever seen running, I was absolutely blown away by the graphics and just how realistic Nina's hair looked (at the time), when she runs her hand through it or whatever she does. I was just sat there with my jaw on the floor. :wacko:
If you mean something like an FMV, then Final Fantasy X. That song had me headbanging.
If you mean something like a tutorial level, Sora's Dive to the Heart, Kingdom Hearts. Beautifully executed, wonderful music, spine-tingling aesthetics; it made you feel like you were already into the game, with tutorials being prompt. It hardly felt like a tutorial at all, and ended up being one of the most memorable points of the game, if not the series.

I am going to have to say that my favorite game intro of all time would be Lost Odyssey. That made my jaw actually drop which not even a handful of games have done that to me before.

Personaly, I like Sonic and Knuckles' intro. short, and very animated, and. Also, Out of this World has a very interesting intro in 3D for the SNES/Genesis.
Every single Dynasty Warriors game. For a humble hack and slash, it really has an overbloated yet epic intro.
