8.95 mbps down, 0.95 mbps up. Or so. Tested through BT and DC instead of that site, but probably more accurate than it would've been, anyway. Since I've kept around 8.95 mbps down and 0.95 mbps up for some hours now.
Download size: 200 KB
Download time: 1.672 seconds
Download speed: 957 Kbps (kilobits per second)
Pfft. Freaking pfft.
Wasn't it 8 Megabyte/s the last time? As in 24 mbps? As in "insanely fast"?Quote:

Just got a lame telephone access. My access is to internet what the picture above this message is to the gaming world! :) I wish I could have a cable link... maybe next years (sig)
It was, and still is, "up to 24 mbps". Meaning my maximum downstream could be 24 mbps if I lived closer to whatever.Quote:

Your download speed : 3343 kbps or 417.8 KB/sec.
Your upload speed is much faster than down.. have you tweaked?
Your upload speed : 5281 kbps or 660.1 KB/sec.
At the dorm, in the middle of the day. I'll try late at night some time... and in the library some time.
Oh my, just connected to a server using a prog installed by the provider...
I get these speeds:
Your download speed : 1895 kbps or 236.9 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 578 kbps or 72.3 KB/sec.
BUT, my Sygate gives me these:
850KB/s
180KB/s
Anyone?
EDIT----
TANGO MANAGER!
I'd go with trusting whatever gives you the more consistent numbers.
Well, I never really used the tango manager before. I'm ashamed.
For you who don't know. http://as.efficient.com/support/Tango/Manager.html
Download: 1 798 kbps.
Upload: No idea, since none of the norwegian speed-test let me test upload, but I think it's around 500 kbps.
Download speed: 50KB/s drops to 14KB/s after downloading 5GBs.
Upload speed: 14KB/s
Nothing too fancy. It's alright for its price.
I wont take the test now, I'm downlaoding/uploading and I dont feel like closing em :P
Anyways my connection is 1 mbps / 300 kbps.
I'm busy on an U/l-D/l or two myself, but get #s near the top of the limit for my provider (about 3.2Mbps d/l & 380Kbps upload). Speeds differ when sending files across the world, because more hops are involved when routing through gates. If everyone were on a single provider with one backbone, that wouldn't be the case. (Actually that's a really scary thought...too Matrix for me). :scared:
Thanks for the link Evans. Heard about Tango but never bothered to try it before. I will check it out tonight.
Well, I'm dense, so when my ISP told me to use that I said :"Fuck off, twit."
Now, if you install it, check those speed tests and tell me if you see the same thing as I. It's pretty weird, but I'm not a DL/UL freak enough to be able to guestimate my true speed as mentionned by Skinner.
Your download speed : 614 kbps or 76.8 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 532 kbps or 66.6 KB/sec.
Not all correct, it is fast at most times, but close enough.
2005-11-07 22:00:15 EST: 2087 / 682
Your download speed : 2087 kbps or 260.8 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 682 kbps or 85.3 KB/sec.
2005-11-07 22:06:46 EST: 2650 / 382
Your download speed : 2650 kbps or 331.3 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 382 kbps or 47.7 KB/sec.
Works for me. I really don't care, to be perfectly honest. Gotta love useless information.
My torrents say f*u! :P
6.1Mbps for 900kbps
In reality it's much like 6.1mbps for 820kbps though.
3257kbps down
351kbps up
Mine is about 300 Kbps down and 200 Kbps up
I Thought i had a fast connection until i everbody elses

Tried to do all of them, but those are the only ones that worked for me.
EDIT://Shouldnt this belong in Comp Tech?
My speeds really dropped once I left the central US servers for the East or West Coast. Dormitory, late night, so not as much traffic running through the system here right now.

EDIT: Probably, but we'll see if anyone decides to move it.
The test seemed to choke on Opera, and I can't be bothered firing up IE, so here's some transfer rates instead...
Down: 400KB/s
Up: 50KB/s
Give or take a little. It's not incredible, but it does me fine. Though it's somewhat inbalanced in the favour of downloading rather than uploading; I'd like a little more upstream and a little less down, I never download at anywhere near 400k/s anyway. Not that I can really complain: until recently I could only upload at about 18k/s, if I was lucky. I guess our ISP figures that most people are all about the leeching.
i have DSL and my connection is 384 kbps download and 64 kbps upload
I've always tested my connection here. I consistently get 10Mb/s (1.2MB/s) down and 768kb/s up.
Works for me since it's supposed to be capped at 7Mb/s down. Thank (insert deity) for old people who don't know what an "inturnet" is, all the more bandwidth for me. I'd hug those old people, but they smell funny :dizzy:
Ha, the speed test is cool.
I get 2448kbps down and 654kbps up from NY server and 2342kbps down and 654kbps up from Seattle server.
5mbps down 768kbps up for $30 a month, but if i just phone up the ISP they will upgrade it to 15MBPs down, 5mbps for free
2005-11-10 23:53:13 EST: 3816 / 353
Your download speed : 3816 kbps or 477 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 353 kbps or 44.1 KB/sec.
i dont know bout these results.. I have downloaded stuff at 1.5mb's a second off some ftp and with DAP i usually download at 650/kb's per second
And what is stopping you then?Quote:
