Apparently Halo 2's been uploaded to the net. It's supposed to be the PAL version of the game, complete with French dialogue, and is reported to be the complete version.

EDIT: I can confirm that the game has shown up on the newsgroups. It's legit. The game is up on the net.
EDIT II: I removed the NFO. I'd aslo like to state that I don't have the game, nor do I have a direct link to it....uh...yeah....newsgroups....
Heh, a French version? No doubt it will be downloaded by the thousands, possibly millions. Shame it's been released early like this, I can't understand why people can't wait. And if the game is 100% complete, why hasn't Microsoft set an earlier release date? It's not like this games needs the Christmas rush to sell it...
Now have you actually d/led the game and burned it then played it, if not then dont jump to conclusions. I have d/led many games that have been released early, and its not the game at all(meaning totally different), or the game is modded in some way. Dont believe everything you read/see on the net.
yess, the game is legit and playable, obviouly the online function is off, but you can get around that by fooling your xbox into thinking its on a LAN connection. everyone is softmoding or buying a modchip as we speak to play the game. xbox is piss off and their is going to be hell to pay. iam lmao when i found out. i would like to thanks those guys who did it, because, xbox deserve to be screw over. they screw other business, and now its their turn to ge screw. i personally, will burn halo2 into every dvd-r i have and give it out and even softmod everyone's xbox, so they can play it for free.

Domon, to answer your PM, I don't have a link. You'll have to have access to newsgroups through your ISP to get it, and you'll need a newsreader prog as well...

LOL. seriouly though, xbox does have crap games. the only reason i bough it because knights of the old republic, and i want to make sure that i have all three system, so i don't miss a good game.
people are doing to download the game a lot more if it was NTSC USA, then again, many people can't play PAL games, not me.

ok, anyone who isn't interest in the early realease of halo2 should stfu. ragnar, is the newsgroup for outlook free, or do i have to pay? and is it ok for me to post a certain torrent site for everyone to try, i don't know if it has illegal games or anything(halo2), but its a pretty good torrent sites. Yes, usenet is free. There are kickass pay servers if your ISP doesn't give you one or just sucks, but you shouldn't need them.
As for posting a torrent site, go aheah if it meets the forum rules. So no PC games, mp3s, pron or whatever, just console games. If the site does break the rules I suppose you could just attach a torrent to a post here for anybody that wants it :whistle:
All I know is that if Halo had not been a launch title I doubt it would have faired near as good as it did. Since it was a launch title is was one of the few games you could play when it was released so more people played it. Then all this Halo 2 stuff wouldn't be as big. When will you ppl realize that this game is way overrated?
Actually even if Halo wasnt a luanch title, the game would still be a badass game. There were alot more luanch titles that people baught and played, and then they ended up not playing them anymore due to Halo. The game is BadAss, Face.

Look HARD. It shouldn't be too difficult to find.
As for this little bit of Halo-bashing, which hardly has any valid argument,
whether or not a game appeals to you is merely a question of taste. Any
respectable gaming expert will tell you that Halo is innovative in it's genre.
The storyline, graphic engine and playability will tell you that right away. It
didn't generate all that money 'just because' it was a launch title. There are
only 2 reasons for which someone may dislike a game: 1 - They perform
poorly at the game, 2 - They are not fond of this kind of game. Hence, the
only thing you CAN say is that you don't like this game, not that it 'plain
sucks'.
It doesn't need the Christmas rush to sell it, however if they start selling it for the Christmas rush that means they can post a profit for the project for the 4th fiscal quarter (which is very good for a variety of reasons). In the end it all comes back to money :)Quote:

If you're going to look at it like that, then the same can be said from damn near any other FPS ever released. I'm not hugely into the game myself, I never played it 'till it came out on PC, but I can still acknowledge that it was a good, solid game - which is a damnsight more that I'd say about half the shooters going around these days.
It had an interesting storyline, top-notch graphics (for the time), well designed and intergrated vehicles, and pretty good multi-player support. Things which not many other shooters of that period could match.
At the very least HALO was a stand-out title and, considering the bloated games market, that says a fair bit about it's quality. If you can't accept that then you are a blinkered fool.
