Just wondering ...
Im taking AP Computer Science where were learning alot about Java.
I am. However I don't feel I have enough time to learn those I'm intressted in. I know Pascal and Basic. Not a genius in either of them though.
I know a little bit of C++ and Java. I also know a fair bit about web languages, like HTML, Javascript and PHP.
Im taking c++ soon. I know html and javasript already.
I know the very basics of basic.
I am wanting to learn C++ and ASM for a couple of different processors.
Calling HTML a computer language is a sin. Never do that, mkay? :P
I forgot to mention that I know some ASM. We programmed a Motorola chip at school. Recently I've also tried to learn about the 6502 Microprocessor; the one the NES uses.
Lets just say that I have no idea what the blazes is going on. :P
Nah, me neither :DQuote:

i know my fair share. html (dont kill me crushhead:dread: ) learning php fairly easily, lil c++, lil java.......most of them i just learnt outta curiosity.....
EDIT: also in the middle of learning mysql....
Humm intersting i am yet trieng to learn c ++ , so yeah i know a lil bit of HTML and also wanting to learn java , though i really dont have enough time , im trieng to make time to learn these , keep up being organized with my daily routine , and yet trieng not to beat myself up learning new things .
I know nothing...
Are you intersted in learning?
c and c++, java... thaht's it, i used to know tons, but because of misuse, i now only know little
I live and breathe C (object oriented programs don't run as fast as other ones :-P) and I also know a little bit of ASM for x86 processors. I'm even planning on being a video game programmer when I'm older.
I know a good deal of Java as I have to take it for my major, programming is kinda cool, but far too tedious to persue for me.
What, did the sysadmins hook you to a machine to erase your memory? ;)Quote:

I think he was just acting stupid and never did anything with those languages. Then what you said happened.
Or instead of 'acting stupid', he just never used them.
Hhahahahaha lol Well I know some that do want to be a video game programer when they do get older , just there are learning c++ So yeah... But i mean i see it very intersting i just started learning , so yeah i do like it , and thats kind of dificult for me to say , cause i like everything simple , and that aint simple . But its good and i enjoy learning it . :)
Urgh!
Me knows C, a bit of C++ (still learning, got to Chapter 2 of my book), Java scares me, though... Too quirky with all those "extends" thingies... I feel like I have no control whatsoever over my code, but I'm still a beginner, so that may change in the future... :|
Lesse now... I know HTML, some XHTML (hate it, but eh...), some Javascript... Not interested in Pascal, though some teachers have tried to get us into it...
Right now I'm torturing myself with x86 ASM... In fact, I've got a project due Wednesday: A little SNAKE game! :P
java's not too bad, and don't worry about extends, it's actually quite simple.
Whats so special about xhtml, that u cant do in html? and what is dif?Quote:

XHTML was born out of XML, methinks... As far as I know, it's a bit more standardized than HTML and other stuff... I don't see much difference, and the change in syntax really bothered me, but again, I've still got a few things to learn there...
As with Java, I might change my mind in the future...
I'm interested in them, but I just don't have the patience to stick with them for long enough ;) Which is not to say I don't have the utmost of admiration for those who do ^_^
I have plenty of patience, its just being lazy that stopps me from learning!Quote:

so I am pretty similar to ya Ed.
I have pacients when it comes to learning, but I don't have the pacients to take the time to learn it. By the way, I want to learn a great varienty of programming languages (c++, java, xhtml, php) where can I find a good place, on the internet, that has multiple programming languages with easy to understand (like the for dummies series) tutitorials and other stuff that you can try out on ur own?
www.programmersheaven.com is a nice place to find stuff... They've got boards where you can ask around, that's pretty much the only one I've found 'til now...
I like Deitel & Deitel's books... Nice and understandable, you might wanna take a look at those... :)
thx mate.
I know A, B and C...
What are A and B like anyway? I've only heard of them. Are they similar to C at all?
Yeah , i havent even heard of them ... weird...
Yes, I think nbs is joking, but if there are such languages, what are they?
i was starting to wonder when someone would point that out:PQuote:

i dont think there is a or b languages, but i could be wrong.
I'm pretty sure there are, or at least that's what I always heard. I don't know anything about them though.
Edit: 100 posts! Chock out my cool new avatar ;)
Are you sure? I actually own a book on C programming that makes a few refereces to those languages in the introduction.
if and i do mean If they are real languages then im sure they are old..Quote:

I know BASIC and C. As a matter of fact, I'm using C programming to program my school's robot for the national Botball Competition. Wish me luck :P .
There is a B, C is an "evolution" of it... I don't know if there is an A or not.
And yes, I was joking earlier.
I noticed your avater. LOVE AND PEACE!! LOVE AND PEACE!Quote:
